I. REMEMBER THE FAMILY OF GOD
A. MEMORY

1. SOVEREIGNTY – II Tim 1:3 I thank God
2. SERVICE – II Tim 1:3 Whom I serve with a clear conscience, (Heb 10:19, 22; I Tim 1:5; 3:5)
3. SINCERITY – II Tim 1:3 the way my ancestors did, (Acts 24:14, 16)

B. MOTIVATION
1. SUPPLICATION – II Tim 1:3 when I constantly remember you (I Thes 5:17; Phil 2:19-22)
2. STEADILY – II Tim 1:3 in my prayers night and day. (Rom 1:10; Eph 1:16; I Thes 1:2)

II. REMEMBER THE FRIENDSHIP AS A MENTOR
A. MEMORY

1. SORROW – II Tim 1:4 Remembering your tears,
2. STUDENT (II Tim 1:6; 3:12; 2:3)

B. MOTIVATION
1. SOLACE – II Tim 1:4 I long to see you, (Acts 14; 16)
2. SENTIMENT – II Tim 1:4 that I might be filled with joy

III. REMEMBER THE FAITH OF THREE GENERATIONS
A. MEMORY

1. SUBSTANCE – II Tim 1:5 I also remember your genuine faith (Jas 3:17; I Tim 1:5)
2. SOURCE – II Tim 1:5 a faith residing first in your grandmother Lois, then your mother Eunice,

B. MOTIVATION
1. SPIRITUAL – II Tim 1:5 and now, I’m certain, residing in you as well. (Jn 1:13; II Tim 3:15)
2. SETTLED (Mal 2:15; Deut 7:9)
