I. DESCRIPTION OF GOD’S CHURCH
#1 – REGENERATED

Acts 2:41a So those who gladly received his Word

#2 – OBEDIENT
Acts 2:41b were baptized,

#3 – EVANGELISTIC
Acts 2:41c and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

#4 – SCRIPTURAL
Acts 2:42a And they continually devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching (Jn 8:31; I Jn 2:19; I Pet 2:2; Titus 1:9)

#5 – FELLOWSHIPING
Acts 2:42b and the fellowship (Heb 10:24-25)

#6 – OBSERVANT
Acts 2:42c to the breaking of bread (Col 1:19-22; I Cor 10:16-17)

#7 – PRAYING
Acts 2:42d and to the prayers. (Jn 14:13-14)

II. DISTINCTIVES OF GOD’S CHURCH
#8 – INSPIRING

Acts 2:43a And everyone kept feeling a sense of awe

#9 – LIFE-CHANGING
Acts 2:43b and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. (Jn 14:11; Heb 2:3-4)

#10 – SHARING
Acts 2:44-45 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.

#11 – GENEROUS
Acts 2:46 And day by day, with one mind attending the temple and breaking bread in their homes, taking meals together with glad and sincere hearts, (I Pet 4:9; I Jn 3:17-18)

#12 – JOYOUS
Acts 2:47a praising God

#13 – ATTRACTIVE
Acts 2:47b and finding grace with all the people. (Jn 13:34-35; 17:20-21)

#14 – GROWING
Acts 2:47c And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
