I. FOCUS ON JESUS
A. REJECT MAN-CENTERED IDEAS

>>1. NOT POWER
Acts 3:12a And when Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us,
>>2. NOT PIETY
Acts 3:12b as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk? (Acts 4:12; 5:41; 9:15-16)

B. ACCEPT TRUTH ABOUT JESUS
>>1. SERVANT
Acts 3:13a The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His servant (Mt 20:28; Is 42:12; 52:13; Is 53)
>>2. JESUS
Acts 3:13b Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. (Mt 1:21; Jn 18:29-19:16)
>>3. HOLY & RIGHTEOUS ONE
Acts 3:14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, (Jn 1:11; 18:39-40; Lk 23:13-25)
>>4. AUTHOR OF LIFE
Acts 3:15-17 and you killed the Author of life, Whom God raised from the dead. To this fact we are witnesses. And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus that made this man whom you see and know strong, and the faith that comes through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all. And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
>>5. MESSIAH (CHRIST)
Acts 3:18 But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that His Messiah would suffer, He thus fulfilled. (Gen 50:20 Rom 8:28)

II. FOCUS ON SALVATION
A. WHEN WE BELIEVE/REPENT . . .

>>1. BENEFIT # 1 = SINS FORGIVEN
Acts 3:19 Repent therefore, and flee to God, that your sins may be blotted out, (Acts 2:38; Jer 8:4; Ezek 14:6; Mt 4:17; II Cor 5:17; Ps 51:9)
>>2. BENEFIT #2 = LIFE RESTORED
Acts 3:20-21 in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send the Messiah appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets long ago (I Jn 1:4; Is 35:4-6,10)
>>3. BENEFIT #3 = OUR JUDGMENT AVERTED
Acts 3:22-24 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to Him in whatever He tells you. And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’ And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days. (Deut 18:15,18-19)
>>4. BENEFIT #4 = BLESSING WILL COME
Acts 3:25-26 You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ God, having raised up His Servant, sent Him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

B. WHAT ABOUT US?
>>1. INDICTMENT AGAINST THE PEOPLE
>>2. INSTRUCTION
