“THE BLESSINGS OF THE TONGUE”
“For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well.” James 3:2

I. The Perfect Man…
a. Maturity by trial (James 1:4)
b. Maturity by words & deeds (2 Cor. 5:20; Col. 3:17)
c. Maturity with a single purpose (Phil.1:6; 1 Cor 9:24-26; Rm. 8:28-29)

II. Able to Bridle…
a. Negative potential (Proverbs 18:21; 8:3; 12:18; 1 Peter 3:9
b. Positive potential  ( The answer is Yes! – John 10:10)

III. The Whole Body
a. The whole person is defiled! (Mk 7:20)
b. The “circle of life” is blessed! (John 1:14; John 7:46)
