I. THE MANDATE FOR BIBLICAL UNITY
A. UNITY BASED IN ENCOURAGEMENT
Phil 2:1a “Therefore since there is encouragement in Christ”

B. UNITY BASED IN LOVE
Phil 2:1b “since there is any consolation of love,

C. UNITY BASED IN THE SPIRIT

C. UNITED WE WILL BE OF ONE ACCORD

D. UNITED WE WILL BE OF ONE OPINION

III. THE MANNER OF BIBLICAL UNITY
A. UNITY DESTROYED
1. DESTROYED BY CONTENTION
Phil 2:3a “Let nothing be done through contention”

3. DESTROYED BY SELFISHNESS

B. UNITY ENHANCED
1. STRENGTHENED BY HUMILITY
Phil 2:3c “but in humility”

2. STRENGTHENED BY RESPECT

3. STRENGTHENED BY CONCERN FOR EACH OTHER
Phil 2:4b “but also the interests of one another.”
