A Sermon by Bro Todd Schmidt, Missionary supported by Sovereign Grace Church
To relieve the pressure on Dr Bob as he slowly recovers from his stroke, SGC has asked men in our congregation, our missionaries and others to fill in as “First Sunday Guest Speaker” each month. Brother Schmidt works as a missionary to the University of Wyoming campus, interacting and discipling students there. He and his family have been a great blessing to our church over the years, attending a number of times a year. His son Levi and daughter Jenny are members of SGC.
BIBLICAL VIEW OF ANGER
I. GOD’S ANGER
A. STUDY HIS RIGHTEOUS ANGER
1. It is always against sin, evil and idolatry
2. It is always unchanging
3. It is always justified
B. UNDERSTAND WHY GOD IS ANGRY
1. Reminds us of God’s holiness
2. Reminds us of God’s hatred (of sin AND of the sinner)
3. Reminds us to Fear God
4. Reminds us to Praise God
II. MAN’S ANGER
A. RIGHTEOUS ANGER
1. Exchange unrighteous anger for righteous anger

B. SINFUL ANGER
1. Respectable sin for most Christians
2. Resentment/rage
3. Examples on unrighteous anger – Cain, Jonah
