I. MURDEROUS WORK OF SAUL
A. CARRY-OVER
>>1. ACTION
Acts 9:1a But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord,
(Acts 8:3; Num 25:7-8; Phil 3:8; Gal 1:13)
>>2. AUTHORITY
Acts 9:1b-2 went to the High Priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might arrest them and bring them to Jerusalem.
B. TAKE-OVER
>>1. APPROACH
Acts 9:3-4a As he traveled, he approached Damascus. Suddenly, a light from heaven flashed around him. And falling to the ground . . .
(Acts 22:6; 26:12)
>>2. AUDIBLE
Acts 9:4b he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
(Lk 10:41; Mt 23:37)
II. MIRACULOUS WORK OF GOD

Acts 9:5a And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
(Phil 3:10-11)

Acts 9:5b The Lord said, “I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

B. TURN-OVER

Acts 9:6a Trembling and astonished he asked, “Lord, what will You have me do?”
(Acts 22:3-11; 26:12-18; 9:17,27; Gal 1:11-12)
>>2. ANSWER
Acts 9:6b And the Lord answered, “Rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”
III. MINISTERING WORK BY OTHERS
A. CHANGE-OVER

Acts 9:7 The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.

Acts 9:8 Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing.
B. DO-OVER

Acts 9:9a So, they led him by the hand, brought him into Damascus,
(I Tim 1:13-15)

Acts 9:9b and for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
