~~~RESOURCES FOR WORSHIP~~~
“Standing on the Promises”
1 Standing on the promises of Christ my King, through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, Standing on the promises of God.
[refrain]
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God.
2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God.
3 Standing on the promises I now can see perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free, Standing on the promises of God.
4 Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword, Standing on the promises of God.
5 Standing on the promises I shall not fall, listening every moment to the Spirit’s call.
Resting in my Savior as my All in all, Standing on the promises of God.
“All People That on Earth Do Dwell”
1 All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice.
Him serve with mirth; His praise forth tell. Come ye before Him and rejoice.
2 Know that the Lord is God indeed; without our aid He did us make;
we are His flock, He doth us feed and for His sheep He doth us take.
3 Oh enter then His gates with praise; approach with joy His courts unto;
praise, laud and bless His name always, for it is seemly so to do.
4 For why? The Lord our God is good; His mercy is forever sure;
His truth at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure.
5 To Father, Son and Holy Ghost, the God Whom heaven and earth adore,
From earth and from the angel host be praise and glory evermore. Amen.
“Promises”
God of Abraham, God of covenant and of faithful promises
Time and time again You have proven You’ll do just what You said
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word it will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me, Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun, to the setting same, I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me
God from age to age, though the earth may pass away, Your word remains the same
Your history can prove there’s nothing You can’t do, You’re faithful and True
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word it will come to pass
Great is Your faithfulness to me, Great is Your faithfulness to me
I put my faith in Jesus, My anchor to the ground
My hope and firm foundation, He’ll never let me down [repeat]
“Gentle Shepherd”
Gentle Shepherd come and lead us, for we need You to help us find our way
Gentle Shepherd come and feed us, for we need Your strength from day to day
There’s no other we can turn to Who can help us face another day
Gentle Shepherd come and lead us, for we need to You to help us find our way
