1. ESSENTIAL BOUNDARIES (Real/Logical view of self as a Bond-Slave of God and the Lord Jesus Christ)
James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ
2. ESSENTIAL BURDENS (Trials bring spiritual fitness)
James 1:2-3 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.
3. ESSENTIAL BELIEF (See yourself as Needy and Ask for Help)
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
4. ESSENTIAL BACKSTEP (Trials, part 2 – Develop patience and use it to help others)
James 1:4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
