A. WHAT ARE THE “LAST DAYS”?
II Tim 3:1a But understand this, that in the last days

B. WHAT “DIFFICULT TIMES” ARE COMING?
II Tim 3:1b there will come times of trouble.

II. CAVEAT – “AVOID THIS”
A. PERSONAL LIFE
>>1. SELF-CENTERED – II Tim 3:2 For people will be lovers of self, (Mk 8:34; Jas 4:6; I Pet 5:6; Rom 12:3; Phil 2:3)
>>2. MATERIALISTIC -II Tim 3:2 lovers of money, (I Tim 6:9-10)
>>3. BOASTFUL – II Tim 3:2 proud,
>>4. ARROGANT – II Tim 3:2 arrogant,
>>5. ABUSIVE – II Tim 3:2 abusive,
B. FAMILY LIFE
>>1. REBELLION – II Tim 3:2 disobedient to their parents,
>>2. INGRATITUDE – II Tim 3:2 unthankful (Rom 1:21)
>>3. INDECENT – II Tim 3:2 unholy, (Rom 3:18)
>>4. INHUMAN – II Tim 3:3 unloving,
>>5. BITTER – II Tim 3:3 unappeasable,
C. INTERPERSONAL LIFE
>>1. MALICIOUS – II Tim 3:3 slanderous,
>>2. UNGOVERNABLE – II Tim 3:3 without self-control, (Gal 5:23)
>>3. FIERCE – II Tim 3:3 brutal, (Ps 5:6; 11:5)
>>4. HOSTILE – II Tim 3:3 not loving good,
>>5. DECEITFUL – II Tim 3:4 treacherous,
>>6. RASH – II Tim 3:4 reckless,
>>7. CONCEITED – II Tim 3:4 swollen with conceit,
D. RELIGIOUS LIFE
>>1. HEDONIST – II Tim 3:4 lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, (Ps 16:11)
>>2. HYPOCRITE – II Tim 3:5a having the appearance of godliness but denying its power. (I Cor 1:18; Lk 9:23)
