I. SCENE ONE

A. INVITATION
1. ASSEMBLY Mt 22:1-2 And a third time Jesus spoke using parables, saying, The kingdom of heaven is illustrated by a king who gave a wedding feast for his son,
2. ACTIVITY Mt 22:3a and sent his servants to summon those previously invited to the wedding feast

B. REJECTION
1. ANTIPATHY Mt 22:3b but they would not come.
2. ANGST Mt 22:4 Again he sent other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited, “Look, I have prepared dinner – I slaughtered my oxen and fat calves and all [is] ready. Come to the wedding feast.”‘

C. CONTENTION
1. ATTITUDE Mt 22:5 But they disregarded it and went off, one to his fields, another to his business
2. ASSAULT Mt 22:6 while others seized the servants, insulted them, even killing some.

II. SCENE TWO

A. REPUDIATION
1. ANGER Mt 22:7 The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT Mt 22:8 Then he said to his servants, ‘Truly the wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy.

B. INSTRUCTION
1. APPEAL Mt 22:9 Therefore go down the main roads and invite to the wedding feast anyone you find.’
2. AGREE Mt 22:10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall was filled with guests.

III. SCENE THREE

A. ATTENTION
1. APPRAISAL Mt 22:11 But when the king came in to view the guests, he saw a man who had no wedding garment.
2. AWARENESS Mt 22:12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ The man was speechless.

B. CONCLUSION
1. ABANDON Mt 22:13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where [there is] weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
2. ASSESSMENT Mt 22:14 For many are called [to come], but few chosen.
