A.       CONCEALMENT
Mt 27:45 Now from noon until three o’clock there was darkness over all the land Lk 23:45a as the sun’s light was eclipsed.

B.       CURTAIN
Mt 27:51a And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.

Mt 27:51b And the earth shook, and the rocks were split.

Mt 27:52-53 Also the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep arose, coming out of the tombs. After His resurrection, they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

II.      SPIRITUAL SIGNS

A.       CENTURION

1.       DECISION
Lk 23:47 He glorified God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” (also Acts 3:14; 7:52; 22:14).

2.       DELIBERATION
Mt 27:54 But when the Centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, witnessed the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe. He said, “Truly this was God’s Son!” (also John 12:32; Mk 15:39)

B.       CROWD
Lk 23:48 And the entire crowd that had gathered for this spectacle, after seeing what had occurred, returned [home] beating their breasts.
