C. OPEN WORSHIP, John 12:3 Mary therefore took a liter of expensive ointment made from pure nard, and anointed Jesus, wiping His feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. Matthew 26:7 an alabaster flask she poured it on His head as He reclined at dinner.

A. OPEN CONCERN, John 12:4-5 But Judas, Simon of Kerioth’s son, one of His disciples (the one who was about to betray Him), said, “Why wasn’t this ointment sold for a year’s wages and given to the poor?” Matthew 26:8-9 And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor.”

A. OPEN CURIOSITY, John 12:9 When the large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there, they came, not only on account of Him but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
